I don't suffer from lag in any other 360 game, its clear the problem lies firmly at Konami's door, they admitted it. Lag is not part and parcel of online gaming in this day and age.

Quite ridiculous when PES6 runs flawlessly, its clearly the game. As i said above, i felt it was improved a lot as i managed to play a game all the way through. But the lag is still there and is still ridiculous, the ball and players will occasionally hop around and it completely ruins the game. At least when PES6 lags, it lags in sync and just slows the game down.

Cant even get a game online tonight, just constantly searching and timing out, any games it finds are always full.

Absolute tripe, a complete joke of a system.
 
Have not even tried to get a new yet online (PSN)

Talking to my mate though, he said that on 360, when ever he tries to connect, it either never does or when he it finally does he gets huge amounts of lag.

From what I read PES6 was great online, so why all these problems with PES08?

Are they hell, I've played constant COD4 multiplayer with 12 people from all over the world and have only once had lag in game.

It's konami's screw up and next year it wil have cost them thousands in lost sales.

Im on 20mb/1mb cable which is about as good as you can get for gaming and unsurprisingly handles every other xbox live game perfectly. Its nothing to do with that. Its just rubbish, end of story. Shoddy, unfinished rubbish.

Sorry, but you're wrong. PES6 for me was fine, as are all other games. PES 08 lags like hell. It is Konami's fault.
 
NorthstaNder - you'v got to remember this forum isnt full of idiots. I can easily download stuff and play a PC game online quite easily, or a 360 game for that matter. But if i try to play evo PC against my mate 20mins up road its hideous, even with downloads off, or anyone else for that matter. Try it on the 360 with mate down the road, guess what, as hideous. Everything else, spot on.

nah, i have a point. but so do all the rest of you i'll grant you that, but i do remember having terrible trouble with PES5 and when i changed ISP it was suddenly ok again. although, my original ISP was toscali :rolleyes:

but how can it be fine (ish) for me, and not the rest of you?

btw...the rest of my online games run nicely onlive.
 
There is little/no improvement, I have one of the best ISPs around for gaming (get around 5-10 ping on UK CS servers) yet it still rubbish.

My copy is now listed on ebay.
 
Very quick question guys, sorry if its been asked before. Is there anyway to change the difficulty setting online? Do I have to play a certain amount of games to do it? Thanks.
 
Question about classic players:

I've unlocked ALL the classic teams now, but some of the players from PES6 are not in the teams? Players like bobby charlton, gordon banks etc who were amazing don't seem to be there.

I've done all the cups.. do you have to complete the leagues or something?

btw maradona on a red is unbelievable.

Are you sure? the difficulty setting is greyed out once you choose the teams online. On the easiest setting its a stupid game to play, passes are easier to make, the defence is stupid leaving massive gaps and worst of all the keepers are fairly useless.

I play as top player offline with a mate and its def. harder to score and passes are intercepted. One beginner I can stroke the ball around with ease.
 
still no difference online for me. its a complete farse. i have never complained about this game yet, was waiting to see if they could redeem themselves (which they shouldnt have to) with a patch but no difference online for me.

total joke releasing this game like this then to get peoples hopes up with a patch that has done bog all for online lag.

I e-mailed them to show my disgust of how they released the game and how the problem has not been resolved :mad:
