Amazon have the best returns in the world :). Free pickup, can't be beat haha.. Hence why it's worth paying more for them sometimes..

After going through a few keyboards I've settled on the same one as you, nothing feels even close..

You're in good hands :).

Seriously write a letter to logitech or drop them an email. They have been known to pretty much hand out upgrades for particularly disappointed customers. The product was obviously illmanufactured. The product was obviously not fit for purpose so you should still be able to swap it with amazon.

Got a response, tho not sure what to make of it.

The dont seem to have a problem replacing it, tho I have the option to send it back...which is Phoenix Az, a tad far for a warrenty return

Or...

Send a copy of my recipt, tho I dont think I have teh mail confirmation anymore, jsut the processed order from Amazon....if I made ascreen shot of that would that be enough?

That keytop hinge arrangment is exactly the same as a laptop keyboard.

If the hinge isn't physically broken (i.e. the small plastic lugs on the hinge are still there) you can usually just clip the keytop back down by putting it into the correct position and applying downward pressure.(made abit easier as the one side of the hinge appears still attached)

I've done it a lot on laptop's when small children have been around ripping the keytops off. :p

Occassionally the hinges break but not that often, still worth a try b4 returning it and being without a keyboard.

(can't makeout if the clear plastic on the underside of the keytop or hinge is broken in the picture)

The "u" clip on teh key is broken, but it was wobbly and not sitting straight for ages, then was typing away and noticed it sitting up as in the first pic, in fact if they jsut sent me a new key, im pretty sure I could as you have said...just line it up and click it down.

Ahh, unlucky that the key is broken , as I said couldnt really tell from the picture.
Yeah they are relativly easy too click them into place , Ive replaced broken hinges on laptop keyboards b4 by getting spare ones of old laptop keyboards.

Being illuminated, even if you had an old laptop keyboard I bet the keytops wouldn't match.

The only draw back to them sending you a keytop (or new keytop and hinge) would be if it happened to break on instalation.

So much for the great CS that Logitech supposidly have.
Sent a few emails now and its gone back and forth to what seems mostly like auto-responces.

Thery have now gone back to asking it to be sent back, which is obviously fine, but the only adress they gave me was one in, Phoenix, AZ...wtf?..they dont have any Uk or Eupoe bases that can deal with returns?....and for the sake of what it is I think ill just use some superglue.

I hate to rant, but Ive had middle of the expense Logitech keyboards and they fell apart too....why oh why didnt I learn!..absolute rubish build quality.

Didnt try the number as I thought it best to explain with the emailed pictures, will try the number next day im off tho im not holding out for much at this time of year.
