Problem after a reformat

HI, just reformatted my computer with XP Pro incl SP3

now i have a problem.

Whenever I go to a web site like here, facebook, and other sites where i have to log in and enter password my computer is not remebering them ?

usually it remembers it on here (OcUK)

and on facebook all i do is highlight email and it pop's up. now i have nothing, i have to keep manually typing it in. and yes i have clicked the "remember me"option on pages.

Am i forgetting something or what ?

have you allowed cookies to save in order to remember logins in IE options?

Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Change to accept all

install firefox, in add-ons, install "adblock plus", and choose the Easylist subscription when it asks

better browser, and no silly slowdowns like in IE, and no adverts.

that maybe so, but ie 7 used to remember everything, i just hit "user name" or "email" and it would highlight mine. Now it does not......

Try
Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced and untick override automatic cookie handling box if it is ticked.
Also
Tools > Internet Options > Content > Autocomplete Settings and see if usernames/passwords box is ticked...
