My mate has a Quad Core CPU on an Asus Rampage Formula Motherboard. He's already running 2X2GB Sticks of Dominator PC2-8500 C5 with no problems.

He's bought another pair of the same Dominator RAM but it wont boot. The LED readout on the Asus Mobo reads 'Detecting DDR' but there no display etc.

I've upped the DDR voltage a little but no luck. He's upgraded the BIOS etc.

Any ideas?

The ram voltage are ment to be 1.65v, and if you cant run all 4, seems to be 1 stick faulty? Try and put each 1 in and find out which one is the problem? Also, check to make sure the mobo can handle more than 4gb's of memory. Lastly, flash the bios to a more up 2 date one?

RAM is rated at 2.1v, every stick has been tested, board can handle 8GB.

Update..

NB voltage increased but the problem is still there. As soon as the PC starts the LED display Detecting DRAM and just sits there.

Anything else I can try?
