Not sure about the rules for this as its not to do with humans. My friends cat has managed to eat an adder and has gone a bit crazy (weasy). Not sure if there is any avaliable vets at this moment. Any ideas what to do?

Find an on call Vet. There should be one in the yellow pages or something. You wont exactly be able to charm it out :/

Well, you've done the most important thing: post about it on an internet forum.

As people have said, RSPCA, a Vet etc

Im not with the cat and google wasnt turning up much. Wondered if there was anything to do to comfort it/solution until someone professional can see it.

What else is he going to do?

CALL THE POLICE?

Or perhaps... a vet.

If the cat is weazing, it's no doubt in a bit of trouble.

Vet, RSPCA, OcUK. All the same afterall perhaps? :p

I hope if you ate an adder you didn't come to post on OcUK as the first thing you did! :D

Most vets will have details of out of hours cover on their answer phone, if not keep phoning around until you find one that does.

Don't be silly, everyone knows he needs GHOSTBUSTERS!:p

Seriously man, there should be a list of on-call vets in your local paper or pinned on a notice on the door of a vetenirary clinic, shouldn't there? The RSPCA have a 24hr hotline where you might be able to ask this: 0870 5555 999. Don't leave it for tomorrow or the cat will probably die, adders are pretty poisonous!

PS. Yes I know there are far more obvious things the OP could have done to find the information he needs than post a question here, but often in an emergency people don't think clearly and, in an area such as this which they have no experience of, it's hard to figure out where to start looking for that information. Give the guy a break!:p

Yup, if memory serves several of my local vets either give you the number for the on call partners mobile (or divert the call), or to another local vet who is on call.
