Problem cloning / Acronis True Image

I want to "clone" a 60gig partition, containing my OS ( Vista 64 ), from an old 120gig drive - onto a 74gig Raptor.

The raptor has been installed, formatted and tested error free and shows in Windows (and BIOS).

I've always used True Image for back-up images, so thought i would use the Clone facility.

But i get this Error message:

Unable to continue

You have only one drive. This program is designed to work with 2 or more drives.

Am i doing something wrong ?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Sounds like you've only got one drive plugged in, and it's expecting you to have the original drive and the new drive plugged in?

Heres what Windows shows :

C , E and G are partitions of the 120gig drive

D is the raptor

I've also run into this problem. I want to clone the C drive from a 120gig 2.5" internal sata, to a 500gig 2.5" external sata connected Via USB.

I found this:

'When cloning to another internal hard drive, the process can be done within Windows. However, when cloning to an external drive, you need to have prepared an emergency boot disk within True Image and to have booted the notebook from it. ' But have no idea how to do it!

Any help would be great!

Edit:

I made 'Bootable Rescue Media' onto a SD card, and have now entered the cloning wizard. However the external USB 2.5" Sata isn't showing up. Any pointers?
EDIT: all done! nevermind.
