Take the motherboard out of the case and lay it on some cardboard / wood. Power it up and see if it works. If it doesn't work you may have damaged the motherboard.

hi thanks for replying. ive had it out the case and on a cardboard box. i unplugged everything except cpu and started there but no beeps. im hoping the cpu isnt fried or damaged. ive been told 3 things off different people, rams dead but surely mobo would beep? cpu is dead but how, i didnt touch it. mobo is faulty, i could have disturbed something .

ok so had it in the pc shop today and they've found the problem and its the motherboard its dead . the mobo was about a year old so thats me put off asrock. has anybody had any experience with any of these boards?

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P

Asus M5A97 R2.0

MSI 970A-G46

as bad as it sounds, could have just been a static issue with you not using an esd.

otherwise, you could have screwed the mobo to tight to the case and actualy created one circuit with your mobo included, so bad, I did it on my first build.

best thing would be to get the new mobo, and do another test on the cpu/gpu/ram for atleast 24 hours and make sure everythings good.

hi guys thanks for replys. im not sure about warranty but will be getting in touch with asrock, ive found a few threads related to the same board and problem. has anybody done overclocking on these boards. i know im not going to get big overclocks at this price range. i had the fx 6300 running at 4.2ghz on the asrock with no problems. ive had 2 gigabyte mobos and they didnt let me down, but that was well over 5 years ago.
