Problem geting a unit

I cant get a WU. I jus set his up SMP client on xp 32. Have disabled windows firewall and I run AVG (dont know how to disable this). I think somhing is blocking i as I can Type in he WU IP and comes up ok in a browser.

Any ideas?

Try running the client with the -configonly flag and changing this to No

If you've just updated to the new version of AVG, make sure fah.exe is in the ignore list. I had a couple of problems with it thinking it was malicious.

Apart from that, it's probably just an issue that will sort itself out. Restart the client and or the machine to see if that sorts it. It might just be a weird glitch.

I cant find how to enter allowed thing on AVG 8.0, where do i do this and what do I enter?
Wheres the config file to say No to using IE settings? Or do I have to uninstall and start again? Re started it loads and still not working

Blatently ripped from the "how to setup guide" at the top of the forum.

Open up Fold and make a shortcut to the client executable by right clicking on it and choosing "Create Shortcut".

Click on the new shortcut and select properties to brink up the window shown.

In the box called "Target" after the .exe type a space and -configonly.


Press OK. Run the shortcut. The client will go into config mode
