Problem in Gta:Sa

I was playing san andreas for about an hour up to a few minutes ago, I had just saved the game when the screen went blue and all this text came up saying, something along the lines of some sort of error and the computer was going to be shut down to prevent damage! Thats about all the info i got before the computer restarted.
This is the second time this has happened, the other time was a few days ago, but only in san andreas no other game does this.
Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

Blue Screen of Death. Don't tend to get them much more in Windows XP, although they do occasionally pop up

I cant tell you how to reslove this, but if it happens a few more times, id put it down to your PC.

Maybe some drivers are out of date or something.

hmmm.. thats a good theory denic, maybe it is his pcs fault that his pc isnt working properly?

well i only built the pc a week or 2 ago so everything is up to date

Ah, might not just be a problem with nForce3 then. Are you using onboard sound with the nVidia drivers?

it was also an issue with a dodgy no CD crack, or any no CD crack for the game, which was annoying for a while as i only use my drive to install...

I had that when I was installing win xp on a new machine and it was a RAM issue. One of the sticks was knackered. You could try testing you RAM for a hour or two with this program:

Or it could be Malware on your PC. Could be a number of things really.

Another problem might be your paging file.

If you set that too high your hard drive (s) cant handle the speed of data and shut down, which shows the blue screen.

Probably drivers the only time i have had bsod with my pc is when i needed to update my ethernet drivers
