I've just bought an ATI 5770 from OCUK and when i install the card and do a reboot i get a series of beeps from the motherboard and then the system just hangs up. My motherboard is a ASRock ConRoeXFire-eSata2. does anybody know where i'm going wrong during the installation or what my problem could be.

series of beeps = no power. I had that issue installing my first high end graphics card :D i thought it was just plug in A power module but it turned out i needed 2. With 1 in i just got a BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP then a hang.

what brand is the psu , does it say on it ? . sounds like a power problem but not sure tbh , but it could be the mobo does not like it lol (5770 is pci-e 2.1 is it not ? )

Possibly your power supply, 18A on the 12v rail isnt good especially for an unbranded PSU. Do you have 1 you can borrow to try thats more powerful? if not id think about buying something like this or this
