Hi guys, I'm at my wits end here. I recently installed an ssd in my pc for my c:/ drive. Everything was working perfectly fine until it came to installing my gpu drivers. They would install fine, yet when it came to rebooting the pc, it would reboot and get to my wallpaper, yet no icons, mouse or anything would display except the wallpaper. If I ctrl, alt, delete it brings up a black screen yet the pc still allows me to select options even tho I cannot see them. I'm really at a lose here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yer it's all displaying through the gpu. I've figured out that it is the display driver, however I don't understand why as it worked perfectly fine before

Right I finally fixed it and it was ridiculously simple and I dunno why I didn't think of it. For whatever reason, it was trying to output the display as an extended desktop from another display port. Was just a case of finding which one and switching it off. Don't why it was doing that :s anyway cheers for the help :)
