Problem on boot

I recently bought a new rig from overclockers and it has been working great except for one thing. When I switch the computer on sometimes it automatically switches off, then restarts before anything appears on the screen. Then when windows loads it says "recovered from an improper shut down". Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Only software I've installed is the motherboard drivers, as well as the one's for the GPU.

Just came home today from a break I've been having, and went to switch to computer on. Now I hear the fan running for atleast 1 second, the disk tray lights up and it resets. Does this over and over. Doesn't even get onto a visible screen; that's how fast it switches off.

I'm going to have to ring tech support tomorrow. Pretty gutted as I've only had this rig for about 2 weeks! Barely touched it
 
Didn't manage to ring them today, but wouldn't have a clue where to start with the above advice haha. Kind of computer illiterate, and I wouldn't want to cause more damage.

Can I ask though, what does the standard warranty entail? Would I be able to send the rig back to be repaired?
 
Right to update you I spoke to one of the tech team and he told me to remove the CMOS battery for 2 minutes and put back in. As I'm currently not in front of the computer, I had my brother to do it for me and apparently the computer started up like it used to.

However, the monitor wasn't attached so I'm yet to know if I have to configure anything. What usually happens when you remove the CMOS? Will I lose the overclock settings?

OK sorry to bump an old thread but I have just noticed that my overclock has reset to default settings. How do I go about restoring them? Thank you in advance!
 
There was an overclocking guide somewher for sandy bridge CPU's in the CPU section. If you do not know what to do or don't want to try it I suggest you ring tech support back and explain and they could walk you through the overclock that they originally set.
