problem overclocking 1800xt?

I have a gecube 1800xt, when i try overclocking in the cat 6.2 control panel
to 690/800 the program iam runnin eg 3dmark 2005/06 crashes after a few minutes with a vpu recovery error? Everyone else seems to overclock these cards easily? anyone have any ideas?

I couldnt overclock my card, but i flashed it to the PE bios, and now its running sweet as a nut at 700/800. Im sure it could go more but im going to wait for the new zalman cooler before doing that as it gets a bit toasty.

Try flashing it, it might solve your problem, but 690/800 would be quite a hefty overclock on the standard bios.
