Problem Parkers

On a serious note if he's not blocking your drive I doubt there's much you can even say to him, he isn't breaking the law.

We have a simlar issue were I work. Some of the people who work in the office don't bother with the free secure car park a few mins away and park around in nearby streets nearer to the office (I work in Witham). This has lead to the council writting to us (were a huge multi billion dollar company) sayin it's concerns the local residents that employees are leaving there cars there all day infact thwy have complained several times to us. The problem is the company is powerless so long as cars that are parked there are tax etc there not doing anything wrong however the company is meant to have a strong social princpal which this conflicts with so it's intereting to find out how this will be rsoloved (prehaps when people go back to thier cars and the tyres are slashed?).

Similar thing happened where I used to work / live and they simply put yellow lines down so no one could park during the day.....

Where does he park when you park there?

I had an issue not so ago when I got a note on my car for being parked outside my house. It was terraced street and so obviously the houses are close together and one of my neighbours claimed I was parking on his property when I was just parked on the street. It was odd. I do sympathise with your situation though.

This boiled my **** with the snow we had recently.

I wasn't parking on the drive as it's fairly steep and no guarantee I would get off it should there be a large amount of snowfall.

What I did do however was clear the entire path in front of my house down the drive to the front door. Also cleared the space in front of my house so I could get in out. Now with the amount of snow I spent easy a couple of hours a day digging and gritting.

Drop the missus off at work and come home (8-9am ish) .... Some **** in the space I cleared

Come back from the Gym (dinner time ish) .... Some **** in the space I cleared

come back from shopping (2-3pm ish) .... Some **** in the space I cleared

Pick the missus up from work (4-5pm ish) .... Some **** in the space I cleared

Yup because being outside in the cold, digging and dragging grit back and forth is exactly why I cleared a space in front of my house you inconsiderate ******, just so you could park there.

Do you own the space you cleared? Or did you just stupidly grid a small piece of public highway and then somehow think that meant you had some right to it over others, and then rant on the internet about it when it turned out you didn't?

I wouldn't expect to be able to chuck a bit of grit on the outside lane of the M25, and then expect nobody else to drive in it?

As for the OP, nothing you can do, chill out, its just a car. Putting notes is just going to annoy the guy and make him think you are a ****. Find something better to spend your time doing, like playing with your kid and spending time with your wife.
