PROBLEM - PC keeps restarting, and I cant make thread titles!

I have and had this same probelm, what mobo you got?

If you have the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe then that is your probelm, change the memory frequenices and speed to what it says on the RAM. It bios gets in wrong...

Yep it was the RAM, remember NEVER BUY [Competitor removed] VALUE RAM.

Anyway i bought 2 lots of 2x512MB Geil Dual Channel RAM off of this very site and my pc works fine now.

I have a opteron 146 only clocked to 2.2, running 2 gig crucial ballistix on a dfi sli board. Just ran memtest for windows and got near 2000 errors on the first 3% on one test and 40 on the other test. Now i know why i am getting these BSODs, thought it was a dodgy windows install first time round, but after 3 clean installs and running this methinks the ram is being sent back.

I wouldn't get my hopes high. Apparantly Ballistix replacements = 4 x 512MB which = 2T which = crap!

It's not unusual for Ballistix to fail, there is something seriously wrong with them kits.

I've read people with DDR problems even when a PC is not overclocked can still be sorted by pushing up the DDR volts to around 2.7. Also I read some DFI mobos don't like having 2x1Gb of memory. My old Lanparty board also didn'y like 2x1Gb. I don't think it was the memory it self as it works fine in my Asus mobo now.

Thats b**ls, so i cant even get my 2 sticks replaced for another 2 sticks??

Suppose OC wouldnt even consider giving me 2 gig different ram, only built this rig 3-4 months ago and parts failing already, not good.
