Hey guys,

I've got half a dozen or so .mp4's that play fine for about 90% of their duration but then they start to stutter and pixelate...

I've tried them through VLC, Windows Media Player and also my Plex server, the problem remains. I can rip them again from my original DVD's but I was just wondering if there were any other kinds of file fixes or anything? I don't remember getting any errors when I ripped them in the first place

I've just download the latest K-Lite codec's but that's not made any difference.

Any ideas?

If its the same on the all the players and with different codecs then it's highly likely something went wrong during the ripping process, I'd just do it again and maybe try a different ripper.

n.b. plain ripped MPEG2 DVD content can't be placed in an MP4 container there must have been some kind of transcoding going on. I'd take a look there. Handbrake? I'd recommended RipBot264 myself.
