problem playing dvd on vista , burnt on win7 invalid codec ?

hi,

burnt off a holiday video onto dvd for a friend to have a look at but they try to play it via media player on a vista system but it comes up invalid or missing codec.

burnt it using handbrake, any ideas what i might have done wrong, and how to resolve it ?

What version of Vista? I'm pretty sure most do not play DVDs out of the box. Try VLC player.

its probably that they dont have a codec pack.. vlc player should fix it, or grab a codec pack on interwebs.. cant remember the exact one to get tho sorry
