Problem returning from sleep

I've been having this problem for a while now, but when my computer resumes from S3 Sleep the hard drive/s dissapear. I have 4 drives installed:

1 x SSD = Used to host Windows 7 (64 bit)
1 x 1.5TB WD Green
1 x 1TB WD Green
1 x 640GB WD Green

I have only recently installed the 1TB drive but previously the 640GB drive would dissapear. Now the 1TB has taken it's place and vanishes. It has also done this at random times not when the PC has just returned from sleep mode.

I did some research and found out their was a problem similar to this with windows 7 64 bit systems and that large SATA drives take some time to "spin-up" which time's out because the disk hasn't fully started yet. But my 1.5TB drive i've never had a problem with. It just seems to be the other two.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or reccomends any solutions.

Thanks

Is the 1TB drive on the same controller/same cable that the 640 drive was on?

If so, try moving it to a different SATA port and see if the problem persists.

I'm assuming you are using an intel board?

If so ditch the contoller drivers which comes with windows 7, this is a known bug. Then grab the latest intel drivers for your chipset and the issue will dissapear.

I'll move the SATA ports around and see if that makes any difference. I've just had a quick glance at the ports and i have one drive plugged into the SATA 3 port and the others in SATA 2. Although i can't see which drive is plugged into which port from here, could it be a problem that the SATA 3 ports don't do so well with one of my drives??

Thanks for your responses

EDIT: Also i have a Gigabyte X58A UD3 (rev 1 i think)
