Problem watching video clips

Hey fellas,
I'm having trouble watching certain video clips. The extention I seem to having trouble with is .wmv, although some of them play fine.

With others, it's as if the videos are running in 12 colours. The videos almost look like thermal images

Sound is fine.

Using Media Player Classic and the XP codec pack.

In windows Media Player, look into the Tools>Options>Performance.
Move the slider down a notch or 3.

Try different media players. Try using VLC media player which seems to play everything for me! www.videolan.org

try a new version of ffdshow, and new gfx card drivers, it WILL fix it -edit, also install wmp10lite (google for it), might be wmv codecs

Ok thanks mate, downloading now.

I installed the Nemo codec pack before reading this thread, it worked, the colours are correct. but now the vids are upside down

Will give this a bash, installed the cat 6.4s too.

remove all other codec packs, most of them are the root of people's problems

just use ffdshow

the satsuki codec pack is excellent if you really want to use one!

Should have just stuck media Player 10 on there as that fixes it to.
