Problem when ever i run cod5

When ever i load the game up,it tells me windows has stopped working

does it without fail everytime.anyone know how to get round this?

i just get a blank screen and cant see anything other than a mouse

Error during initialization, unhandled expection caught

1- Go to Control Panel
2- The click on "Hardware and Sound"
3- Click on "Sound"
4- Doble click on "speakers"
5- go to the Advanced tab
6- Set the default format to "24 Bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)"
7- Thats it!

Make sure directx is the lastest.
