Problem with 13.1 drivers

Im having a problem with the latest 13.1 radion drivers, for some reason my graphics card gpu and memory run at full speed all the time with these drivers causing the card to run at 60C plus even at idle.

I know that with more than one monitor the memory runs at full speed but this is both the GPU and Memory with just one monitor.

As soon as I instal the 12.11 beta divers you can hear the fan speed slowdown and the GPU and Memory speed go back down to 300/150 as they should be.

The card is a Gigabyte windforce 7950 btw, any ideas as to why it doing what its doing ?
 
If your running Afterburner disable it, tell it not to start with windows and reboot and run your PC for a while without Afterburner.
 
Hi Guys, Yep ive already removed afterburner and gone back to the 12.11 beta drivers which work fine, just cant understand why I have a problem with the 13.1 drivers.

One thing I have noticed, if I install the CAP2 drivers and install them with the 12.11 drivers I also get the problem, as the CAP drivers are built into the 13.1 drivers I wonder if its that that's causing me a problem ?
 
Have you tried the 13.2 betas? It offers some fixes over 13.1. Running the 13.2 Beta 4 at the moment with no problems at all.
 
I tried the 13.2 beta drivers but had exactly the same problem :(.

Reverted back to 12.11 beta and problem goes away ...very confusing, guess ill stick with 12.11 for a while.
