Problem with 2209WA

Hi all, just finished my new build and plugged the monitor in.

The problem is, I plug one end of the DVI cable into my monitor and one into the graphics card, and I get a message on the screen saying 'no dvi cable'.

I have tried the VGA output as well using an adapter and I get a message saying 'entering power save mode' there's no power getting to the keyboard i connect so I cant cancel this. When i turn the PC on i don't even get a BIOS menu or anything like that.:confused:
 
Changed the mode to Digital Input, no i'm just getting the 'entering power save mode' message constantly
 
Tried the monitor on my current rig, still the same issue. Also tried swapping the ram and graphics card about any the problem still persists.

Anyone any ideas :(?
 
Turns out this wasn't a monitor problem, I had the RAM in the wrong slots, apparently it makes a difference whether it's in slot 1,3 and 5 instead of 2 4 and 6
