Hi all. I've been having a lot of trouble with my new 6950. Basically what happens is that when I play games I can only get a decent fps without any anti-aliasing on. This goes for cod4, black ops, just cause 2 and other games. When I put anti-aliasing at the highest settings the fps is awful. For example, in CoD4 I get 30-80 fps and in Black Ops I get about 10-40. I've tried 10.12a, 10.12 and 10.11 drivers and they all seem to have the same problem. This problem occurs whether or not my 6950 is flashed to a 6970 or at stock. It seems to be quite a strange issue. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Uninstall all ATI/AMD drivers, run driver sweeper and remove only ATI files. Install the 10.12a drivers again and see how thing are.

If there is no change, then make a partition on your hard drive and install your operating system on this partition. This way you can test it clean to eliminate your current install of your operating system as something isn't right here. I'm hitting mega FPS in CoD4 multiplayer.

If your using that metamorphing AA (or what ever its called) it will really hit your FPS,well it did on my 6950 anyway

I'm such a muppet. I swear I tried turning down all the 3D settings on CCC to lowest quite a few times. I did it again and now I'm getting the fps I would expect in those games. Well I suppose it's thanks as I probably wouldn't have tried that again for a while if you hadn't mentioned it here.
