Hi

I just done a new build consisting off :-

Abit IP35 XE Pro
Intel Quad Q9550
8 GB of Corsair DDR2 XMS Dominator PC2-8500 Twin X ....... 4x2GB
Radeon 4870 X2
Seagate 500GB x 2 in raid 0

All installed correctly but getting a strange error on the post screen
WARNING : have option ROM can not be invoke ( vendor ID : 197Bh , device ID : 2363h )

Anyone shed any light as to what it means please
Looked at various Abit boards and saw some that said incompatible with 4870 x2 cards , i was wondering if this board as problems as well ?

Thanks Chaps

Hi

Just updated my bios to latest release and the problem still keeps popping up during post screen , its seems to be in the RAID section of the post message
System seems fine as been playing COD 4 and smooth as butter so aint got a clue what its referring to

try turning off the JMicron controller (unless of course you are using it for a drive) & see if that makes it go away.

Hi Folks

The problem still exists during post but everything is rock stable :)

Can anyone help me with new memory settings please ?
I bought 2 sets of this for 8gb :-

Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2GB)
It states 1066 memory but its all at default in bios is it running to top performance chaps or do I need to enter settings manually ?

Also my new CPU with a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler :-
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.83GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)
Again running all at default speeds.

I am totally scared of the settings incase I do damage can any kind people help me to get the best from this system without damage thanks

did you turn off the JMicron?

You probably need to set up the RAM manually but Corsair Dominator doesn't seem to play as well with IP35 Pros as G.Skill or Geil.

Hi Buff

Yes mate turned off the Jmicron controller in bios , I forgot to do it and the posting error as disappeared thanks buddy :)
Now I wish someone would help me with my speed settings as I aint got a clue

No one willing to help me then with setting my memory correctly , is it possible to set memory timings to recommended without overclocking the CPU ?
