Problem with android 5.0 connecting to Wi Fi

Hi

Me and my wife both Samsung Galaxy phones. I have a S5 and she has a S4. We have both been unable to connect to our wi fi network. There is no problem with the PC connecting to it and the connection is stable. Anytime we try to connect to it with our phones it never connects. I have tried turning the wi fi off and on again but it still doesn't work. Anybody know any solutions to this problem.

What router do you have?

Its a BT Hub 4 if thats any help.

I'm assuming you've "forgot" the network and tried adding it again?

I would look to update the firmware on the HH4 if there's one available. There were plenty of wifi issues on the Nexus devices when Lollipop landed.

If there is a smart wireless feature on the router as well, turn that off. It caused problems for me on a couple of devices on the HH3.

Does the HH4 have a 5GHz wireless network you can test with as well?

It drove me mad trying to get my s3 to connect with wifi. Turns out that because the password had a - in it, it was a dash and I was typing a minus, they look the same but one is about 2 pixels longer than the other. This could be your issue with it being the same on 2 different phones.
