Hi there,

Im having a problem with Argos, basically i bought a Megan Right Hand Corner Group in cream, at the time of which the price was £599.99, and it dropped on a promotion offer to £499.99.

Now they are saying they have no record of the price drop - is there anyway i can find a archive on the net or anyone have a book showing this price cut (it would a promotional leaflet) .

Thanks.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what price it is advertised at, they aren't required to charge you for it. It will ring up at a certain price on the till, at which point you agree to the price they give you. Though if you do find some proof, you may be able to get the discount out of goodwill.

What a load of rotten fish

Actually they agreed to refund the difference - i just need to show that it was on offer. - thank you Haggisman

Some people on here are complete noobs. This forum use to really help people, not mess around with useless posts, just to get their post count up. You guys should be ashamed.

No, it's true as far as I am aware. It's all to do with Invitation to a treat... Granger vs Gough or something like that, I can't remember the details now.

I don't recall Granger v Gough offhand (although it could be in point) but the Pharmaceutical Society of GB v. Boots Cash Chemists is always useful for illustrating the idea of an invitation to treat.
