Right I'm just in the process of building my new system and the first problem I have is with the ram heatsink touching a screw on the back of the graphics card, Its a msi p7n diamond motherboard and I've got ocz reaper x and sli g92 gts's.
With the ram installed in either slots 1 +3 or 2+4 the edge of the heatsink just contacts with a screw on the back of the graphics card Any ideas if this will be a problem ??

A screw? It might not be a problem but I generally wouldn't be overly happy about metal touching metal on components if it is like it sounds. You could try putting some thin non-conductive material between them just in case although possibly wait for some confirmation to see what anyone else thinks.

Neither the screw or the heatsink will be conducting anything other than heat from the sink. And considering the components are placed so close anyway I don't think (in my opinion) that there should be a problem.

OK Thanks for the replies I thought that a screw shouldnt be a problem but you can never be to careful eh :) I think that as you say I may just put a piece of non conductive material in there just to be safe
