i bought the cm devastator mouse and keyboard bundle and i think it is brilliant for the money the keyboard is especially nice to type on, well compared to my old cheap keyboard anyway lol. but the mouse wheel has developed a squeak when you scroll with it and i have looked on the internet for a solution and it all comes up with is having to take it apart to grease the wheel, well its not even a week old i don't want to take it apart just yet was just was thinking of getting a really small pipet or nozzle and possibly trying to grease it that way do you think it would work or do more harm than good

Mouse squeaks?? Is it hungry?

As it's new it might stop squeaking once the newness has worn off. Dunno odd one.

That's what I thought but wasnt sure what to feed it lol

And was going to leave cause I thought it would wear in but it's really really annoying lol

Might not be related but might help I don't know..

I had issues with a mouse from steelseries sensi with my build buzzing / sweaking high pitched when moved or scroll wheel was used. When i investigated i found out it was feedback loop from the coolmaster haf 912 case I have. The USB sockets weren't grounded correctly (friday afternoon job?) after a bit of fiddling and poking around I managed to fix it.

tl;dr;
Try the mouse / keyboard on a different pc / different usb sockets.
find out if the squeak is due to wheel rubbing or if its another issues
cotton bud and a bit of non conductive grease / lube will work if its a rubbing issue.

I've read a similar problem online with the same devastator bundle, someone fixed it with a bit of WD40

However seeing as it's only a week old, just try and return the lot for a new set or something like that

yeah its deff a rubbing problem and by the time iv paid p&p to send it back it wont be worth it its only an £20 set i thought about wd40 but was just i little concerned about it getting all over the other components

I would just RMA if I were you. This shouldn't happen during the first week of use, so get it returned for a brand new set. I'm sure OCUK will have no problems sending you a new set.
