problem with gpu

so i built my first ever gaming pc

the build went well, but i have a problem for some reason my gpu doesnt seem to be recognised by my pc kinda, if i use CAN I RUN IT then it says i have a gtx 970, but if i ask if i can run a game it says i have integrated graphics with only 256mb of vram, ive downloaded all the latest drivers to no luck.

any advice would be appreciated
