Got Intel SSD Toolbox to run its SSD Optimizer every Saturday at 2pm. It didn't run today at 2pm so I ran it myself but it failed.

The SSD Optimizer box in the SSD Management Tools pane went red and said "Error creating Intel SSD Optimizer files on the selected drive".

I've run the Fast and Full diagnostic scan and both were fine. Just run a chkdsk now and that's fine as well. So why is the Toolbox having problems?

Also can I check that installing this Rapid Storage Technology package is a good idea? Looks to get TRIM done automatically?

Nice answer :)
But wrong. :D

I checked the C: and there weren't any existing .bin files prior to me running the optimizer again, or trying to at least.

I then thought perhaps it was because I hadn't restarted my PC since I installed the new version of NOD. I restarted the PC and that didn't work but then the Intel RST drivers did some work with W7 on the disk drivers and I had to restart again. The optimizer then worked. :)

Not wrong, just not the right solution for you.....Bloody good of him to put type font to virtual paper, in a bid to assist..
Yes I know that. Hence the :D. ;) I looked at the suggestion and found that it wasn't the right answer. The :D was to indicate that it wasn't the right answer for me. I also quoted the "Nice answer" because I would never have thought about that, or indeed googled that, in years.

But thanks for telling me off for something that has nothing to do with you. :)
