I've had my laptop, a HP Pavillion zd8369ea with 17" widescreen, since last November. It was fine until recently when a thin blue line appeared from top to bottom right in the middle of the screen. Ever since, there has been a new line appearing somewhere in the screen at a rate of one per day. Most the them are concentrated in the centre of the screen with a few stray ones at the side.
They look like lines of dead pixels which run vertically from top to bottom of the screen. It seems weird that so many dead pixels would appear in such a short amount of time. Is there anythign I can do or is the screen going to have to be replaced? It's still under warranty so hopefully it can get fixed under that.
Here's a pic, it's crap quality but you get the idea. I count 9 lines so far.
