Problem with Logitech mouse all of a sudden....

I've had a Logitech "Cordless Desktop Wave Pro" keyboard and mouse for the last 3 or 4 years but the last few nights, following an overnight charge of the mouse (an MX1100 I believe) it has started behaving strangely!

Basically the left button seems to be either not engaging or possibly "double clicking" when I depress the button - essentially clicking and holding to drag a window or icon either fails completely, drags a few centimeters and stops or, most annoyingly, expands the window to full screen or loads the icon!?!?!?

I know it's a pretty old mouse now but it's not very heavily used and so I'd expect it to be still going strong for a few years yet!

Anyone had similar problems and know how to solve them?

I've tried the latest Logitech drivers but they haven't made any difference! :(

Contact Logitech they've got brilliant CS and there's a good chance they'll just send out a new mouse no questions asked.

I've done this before and they were great to be honest - in fact this desktop set was as a result of a previous mouse that had stopped working and they gave me a 50% off voucher to spend in the online store!

I'd be surprised if they just send me a mouse though - just checked and I bought this one back in 2010!

Well that was a waste of time!

Logitech have basically said - you are outside your 3 year warranty so tough luck!

Granted I bought the keyboard and mouse in November 2010 so it's almost 4 years ago but I'm not what you would call a "heavy user" so for the mouse to just fall over and them to say "too bad, we don't really care" is a tad annoying! (especially after my experience of them in the past!)

Ho-hum  - can anyone recommend a decent wireless mouse, ideally one that can be recharged?? (NOT Logitech!)

phone them up, maybe try registering a new case with them? another email address?

worth a try, i have not had to claim for a fair few years

Logitech also provided me with some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced recently. I can sympathise. I too have sworn off Logitech for good.

Same for me, not had any decent support from Logitech so far. My headphones broke and their response has been "We are currently seeking for a solution to successfully resolve your support request. We will keep you updated on any progress we have made." several weeks ago, I have tried sending more tickets to get further information but ive heard nothing back :(

When my g9x broke they sent me a 25% off voucher which could only be used to buy another g9x from their store, which was priced much higher than any normal shops for the same item :(

Razer and Roccat are both terrible with warranty, Razer just didn't care and Roccat just tell you to return to the retailer even 18 months after they sold it to you! TBH once anyone has your money they do not give a ****.

Just to throw some contrast here, when my Logitech G500 failed out of warranty I ended up with two G500s' in replacement. Sadly both suffered that horrendous coil whine but still, they didn't have to and the service was good. Having recently experienced SteelSeries' service there's no competition. SS were vv slow.
