I'm helping a friend who is having some issues with his MAXDATA computer

Spec
1Gb DDR2
350W unbranded
ATI 2600pro 512mb
MOBO, RC410-SB450

when the power is turned on it makes a series of clicking noises and refuses to boot up
it then makes a series of beeps
the graphics card is the problem so i removed it and used on board graphics
this allows to computer to boot up
iv tested the card in my pc and it works fine so am thinking its the pci-e slot or the mother board

any surgestions guys??

yer was thinking a new system, problem of being students we have no money so it might be hard to get one.
no chance of getting a bios update now is there

will check my card in his pc later. if that dosent work the mobo is knackered and il b posting about a low cost pc spec

the card takes its power from the pci e slot does that make a differance??
i think it only has a 20 pin connector didnt see a 12v line when i opened it up

how can i test it under load then??? i have a multi meter which pins do i need to measure it from
and how do i do it with out electicuting myself
