Problem with my 7850 and windows 8?

ok so my gigabyte ATI radeon HD 7850 came today which im very pleased about. I am using windows 8 and installed catalyst etc, although it kept telling me that it couldnt find the correct hardware.

So i uninstalled all my old nvidia drivers thinking it was that and rebooted, now once i get past the blue microsoft logo my screen just flashed black.

Any ideas?

Update, i can get into safe mode. But thats it.

Going to install win7 again i think. Just to rule out the card.

You should've uninstalled your old NVIDIA drivers first, rebooted, then installed the AMD drivers for your 7850.

Boot into safe mode, uninstall all AMD and NVIDIA drivers remaining, reboot as normal, reinstall the AMD drivers.

Try using Driver Sweeper or something similar to completely get rid of traces of the drivers.
