I've bought a Philips 26PF4310 nearly 3 weeks ago.
But i've noticed since i've been using it that the picture isn't as good as i thought it would be.
It seems very pixelated and seems to be out of focus. The football isn't good at all on it.

I've ran a direct feed from my skybox in another room directly to the arieal socket in the Philips 26PF4310.

I don't know what else to do? Is it a faulty set or is it just how all lcd's are?

We're sitting about 6 foot away from it at one point and about 12 foot away on another sofa and it still doesn't look that good at all.

Any ideas please?

Several reasons. Most common are...

It is not set up correctly, operating to it's best.

You are feeding it with poor video sources.

I've been all over the settings and can't seem to get them any better.

I don't know any other way to get a better feed as we have the sky+ box in our lounge and the lcd in the conservatory.
And suggestions?

What settings do you have on the TV and what are they set to, likewise on the Sky box.

Where have you plugged the cables in on the Sky box and TV too?

I have a standard areial connected to the sky box going out from RF out 1 out of the wall and then into a wall socket . Then from there i have a standard areial connector from the socket on the wall to the lcd.

As for settings on sky+ it was just set up from when the guy fitted it i've not changed anything.

Would some better cable help? Or is there a way i could hook up my other sky box and use rgb scart?

If you used an RGB scart the picture would be immensely better.

Make sure you connect it to the TV scart socket on the Sky box. Scart socket number 1 is usually the RGB enable socket on the TV.

Then go into picture settings on the Sky box. Set output to RGB and scart control to on. Also set to 16:9 if your TV is widescreen.

However, as your TV is so far away I would recommend getting a second sky box or Freeview box.

Yeah i got my My 32" hooked upto RGB from sky it's just trying to improve the picture in the other room really.
Thing with Freeview is it doesn't carry the channels i pay for on sky.
But it might be the best options and then just leave the RF connected in the areial socket so i can watch the sports channels.
AS i'm not going to pay for another sky box as i think £36 a month is more than enough to watch tv.
