problem with new 290

Hi again fellas. Just a quick question. What's the mantle performance like in bf4 now? There are some great deals on the premium edition at the moment and am tempted to grab a copy. I loved bf3 but held off on bf4 because of the reports of so many bugs.

BF4 still has bugs, yes, but its so much fun and the bugs are a minor niggle.

Performance on the 290 is very good, runs maxed out easily, Mantle is even better, for those CPU bottleneck parts of which there are plenty, i made a youtube example of one here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPxyVesz2Ps&feature=autoshare

Split Screen, FPS counter on the top right in each half.

Right now you can try BF4 for free, the offer has been running a while so i don't know how long is left.

Origin > Store > Free Games > Game Time.

Great video humbug. Thanks for that. My bank balance is going to hate you! keep convincing me to buy stuff! Mantle performance looks amazing.
 
It's a great card los. There are some good videos on youtube showing comparisons between this card and the Sapphire tri-x. This one came out on top.
 
Played a couple of hours of Battlefield 4 last night and despite getting my arse handed to me on a plate the game ran superb. Using Mantle I don't think I saw anything below 60 fps. game was pretty much 70-95 frames consistently on ultra with 4x msaa. I ran it on directx for comparison and was seeing frames in the forties. Needless to say I'm well chuffed with my purchase!
 
Life in the old dog 1090t yet with mantle enabled games! Been messing with mouse settings on bf4 as it can feel a bit floaty. Any ideas humbug?

I used to get that 'Mushy' feel in windows 7 when i bought a new laser mouse, not just in games but also on the desktop, i just got used to it thinking it was the mouse.

Windows 8/.1 fixed that, i'm not saying that's the problem, i don't think it should be doing it at all.

I think what it might be is mouse acceleration, you can turn it off in windows, some how, can't remember how, let me google it.

found it in Windows 8.1, it should be the same in Windows 7.

Go to Control Panel.
Ease of Access
Ease of Access Center
Click ‘Set up Mouse Keys’
