I have just bought a new computer from this site and after only a few hours of being set up i get this blue screen telling me that i need to shut down.
As it's clocked it's likely a clocking issue due to a dodgy BIOS setting - drop the clock back until it becomes stable.
Then start again at a more measured pace - increasing your clock in small increments and stress testing them for stabilty...
If this doesn't work - you'll need to drop it back to defaults and start stress testing. The memory would be a good place to start - using memtest and a prolonged test.
used memtest and it comes up with no errors.
i can't believe i bought a computer built by overclockers and probably gonna have to send it back in the first day.
Awesome
I'm going to copy and paste a reply i gave to someone last night with a similar problem:
Because it’s a pre-built/tested bundle, you’ll be better served by contacting OC’s directly via web note or phone as they will know the bundle’s clock settings intimately – and, as such, it’s possible frailties.
It may be that they have a couple of quick fixes which they can suggest as this type of problem may occur quite frequently with pre-clocked bundles. If you’re lucky they'll e-mail you a few known corrections that may resolve your issues.
This is very unlikely the case but i had a BSOD with IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL issue. This happened everytime i used Utorrent after uninstalling Utorrent and installing bittorrent the issue disapeared. Just something to think about
