I've just installed a new D Link Wireless N DKT-410 router (cable version for Virgin broadband) after my old netgear gave up the ghost.
Accessing the net is a nightmare even using a wired lan connection to the router
Access is slow, more often than not I can't access the webpage first time and just have to keep refreshing the page until it does load.
When I try checking the router for firmware upgrades it just times me out
Never had these problems with my old netgear rangemax, I could sorta understand if the problems were connecting wirelessly but direct lan cable to the router I'd expect first class performance not this. The connection is there and will load the page first time sometimes but not others, it's very frustrating, any ideas what could be causing this loss of performance?
