Hi Guys,

Just got an Abit P35 with a quad core Q6600, 2 x 1GB OCZ Platinum memory, ATi X1950, and once the PSU, CPU, MEM and Graphics card are plugged in, im getting long beeps seperated by 1 second pauses.

Anyone got a clue? Tried reseating the CPU, heatsink, and tried with a single memory stick, still the same.

Thanks

Does it not say in the manuel?

If not then you must systematicaly work it out.
If you take out 2 sticks is it the same or does it change. try with gpu as well see if the beeping changes.

Forgot to mention:

When turning power on, everything spins up for 2 seconds, then the motherboard powers down, then powers back up and then you get the long beeps.

The power down and back up is not a fault. Its just the abit boards (except the pro) have the rebooting bug. But i beleive it is fixed with the latest bios or almost fixedl ol.

Just to update. The beep code (long beep with 1 sec pauses) is telling you the PSU isn't sufficient.

My Antec Neopower 480 booted it no problem however.
