In the process of building my new pc with Asus P8z68, i5-2500k, after a few problems I have got it working but when switching it on it switches on and off a couple of times and sometimes it recognises my usb keyboard and other times it say keyboard not detected, otherwise when I get in the bios everything is ok
I havnt installed windows yet by the way
any ideas
Thanks

PS I have tried different usb sockets in the back and when it doesnt recognise the keyboard, the keyboard still lights up

I think its a common problem with asus 1155 boards ( although i havent had any issues with mine ).

You could try a newer BIOS if there is one :)

Hi I've been having problems with my latest build as well with the same setup as you, it was starting then 10s later it shut down then 5s after that it restarted and worked fine.
I did find a solution which for the moment seem to work which was to change in the bios internal pll overvoltage from auto to disabled..

Hope that helps and I'd certainly also be interested in any other info on this.

getting the same on mine starts, shut down then restarts and then ok
could this be a pre-start system check somewhere hiden in the bios?
also had a small problem with the mice the arrow head will show on screen but you can move the mice around and nothing happens untill you unplug the usb plug on the mice and recornect then its ok.
i presume its the sort of the problem others having with thier keyboard? maybe
