Problem with OCing my DS4

I've had it overclocked for about 2 weeks set on 366 FSB and it was running along nicely.

Then yesterday it wouldn't start up and when it finally did, the settings had been reset to normal.

Now it's crawling along at its standard 2133Mhz (I've got a Core 6400).

The EVEN WORSE problem is that when my computer decides not to start up (basically every time I try and set the FSB back to 366) it fails to recognise I have a monitor plugged in. It will try and start numerous times, sometimes getting all the way into XP only the monitor will never turn on.

:(

Thats instability when your pc refuses to boot. Slowly raise the fsb from stock value and test each time. Keep going until it gets unstable then either decrease fsb for stability or raise the vcore some and keep going.

Have you read the stickies?

When you say it wont start up, does it come on for a few seconds then turn off again repeatedly?

If so its a known bug, mine does it, amd mines 100% stablw with the clock in my sig. Most of the time a CMOS reset cures it.

As for the clocking bit have a look at the sticky. Cant remeber if its in the mobo or overcloking forum.

Mines running happily at 455FSB with an E6300

It isn't instability. My DS4 with 2GB OCZ and a 6400 won't fail on 366FSB.

Besides it ran fine for weeks on those settings.

It does seem to be a bug as the other poster has suggested.

Has anyone heard about a problem with recognising the monitor when it fails to boot?
