Hello. Yay my first forum post.

Ok I just bought one of the Hann-G 28" monitors. It came in perfect condition and I was majorly impressed. The only problem is.......

When I try to raise the resolution up to higher than "1400 by whatever" It starts to flash on and off. Sometimes it will stay on but looks like there is a lot of static going across the screen.

My first guess is possibly not the screen but my video card. It is a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS, (Which I know is an incredibly pants graphics card).

I had a look for any similar posts so if this is a double post then please direct me to the original.

Other than that can anyone help? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

First off try a reinstall of your VGA drivers.

Failing that try a different VGA cable if you have one or even a different VGA card :)

I think its your 8400 gfx card aswell

I have the same monitor and love it, best value for money monitor you can buy.

Okkk, so I changed the cable. I was using the HDMI cable and input. So I changed to the normal vga cable. It works fine. Yaaaay.

But.....

What I am wondering if it is the cable, or if the video card just couldnt handle the HDMI output. What does anyone think?
Thanks
