hey guys, just got a pair of UCCC chip corsair 2X1gb ram and started to overclock my system..

Using the system described in my sign.

Tried doing
260x9
1:1
vcore: 1.440v
vdimm: 2.7v
Timings: 3-4-4-8

but failed prime95 with the following error:
Round is 0.5, expected lower than 0.4 or something like this..

Tried
256x9 1:1
1:1
vcore: 1.440v
vdimm: 2.7v
Timings: 3-4-4-8

and things seems fine..

but the thing is, this pair of ram is tested on the seller's system and got till 280MHZ with the same timing

could it be the memory controller of my 3000+ winnie that is restricting it? or am i missing out something?
thanks..

tryed up the volts one more notch ?
set u htt to 3x ?
dropped ram to 166?
also cause 1 person got those timings speed ect, does not say u can, not 2 set up's r ever the same

hmm.. if i change HTT to 3x, which will end up with 768, will there be a performance drop, since it shld be 1000?

that didnt work too..
finally passed a night of prime95 with 268x9 HTT:3x 180divider..
hmm so what could be the limiter? seems to me that my processor cant hit 270 stable, and my ram cant hit 250 stable..

hey guys, i dunoe y my UCCC chipset doesnt seem to preform well enuff..

btw i managed to get it pass prime over night at 256x9 188divider
but when i trade 256x9 1:1, i got error after an hour +..
"Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 4
And also my rams had error in memtest at 260mhz

Will that extra bit of FSB benefit over having a 1:1? as i will be able to get it at 250x9 1:1..
