After putting the PC in Sleep Mode for the night. In the morning the PC does not register a signal. So obviously I restarted the system and still no signal.

So then I thought that it might be my monitor is bad, so I switched monitor and still no signal.

Ok so I then switch VGA cable to HDMI and still no damn signal. The monitor screen does not register the signal what so ever.

So yeah, any tips to get out of this problem?

There's still a current of electricity running through, which is why it's stuck in sleep mode as the data is stored in your RAM.

Remove the PSU plug from the wall, and hold down the power on the desktop for 30 seconds to draw all the power out. Then plug it in and turn it on, and it'll work.

Reset your CMOS does work I did it by accident in Win 8.1 as my mobo doesnt like sleep had to reset my CMOS and then its fine. Either remove the battery on your motherboard for ten seconds and replace or find the CMOS jumper and turn the PC off, short the jumper for ten seconds then remove and boot PC. Look in your motherboard manual on how to reset the CMOS on yours.

This is why I always say never use sleep or hibernate. In the days of SSD's its just not necessary.

Got my wife a new laptop with Windows 8.1. Installed the SSD from her old one and copied the windows 8.1 installation over. Rebooted first time and all of a sudden it had just loaded. In the time it took me to blink. Its got a new fast boot incorporated and its lightning quick. Quicker than my desktop pc and that boots in 10 seconds to desktop.

what mb? uninstall gpu and try running off igpu

then install gpu again and try that, might need latest bios for sleep resume to work properly or a tweak of dram or imc voltage

i had this problem yesterday couldn't get it to register at all on mt monitor, i ended up plugging it into my TV and it worked, let it boot up then shut it down plugged it back into my monitor and all was working fine, i did do a cmos reset aswel

Motherboard is the link above. Also I Tried with motherboard hdmi and gpu hdmi no different. So I doubt the GPU is at fault.

And thinking about it, I followed the manual and the manual might be wrong. After switching the jumper for 10 seconds and back, the manual ask me to power the PC on and assumes it work. But Other websites such as wikihow instructions is to keep the jumper at 2-3 pin and pressing the power button to discharge then puting the jumper cap back at 1-2 pin and finally connecting the electrical plug and powering the PC on.

Ok I unplug the PC, Remove the CMOS battery, Pressed and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Put the battery in, and start it up. Apparently still no Signal from monitor from all cables. Really I wonder what is going on.

Had same issue this morning after putting the computer to hibernate last night. But had another strange issue, I couldn't restart the computer by holding down the power button... so had to switch off the power at the wall.

It's a new computer, 2 days old, so not sure what is happening. Found on the nvidia forum that it could be a GPU thing... any ideas?
