Problem with Resolution LCD TV

Hey,

i recently bought a Logik 24" LCD TV to use as a computer monitor, but when I first used it via HDMI cable at 1920x1080 resolution (the max and recommended resolution) it was not full screen. I used catalyst control center and adjusted the Underscan/Overscan until it was full screen.

Now that it is full screen I was wondering if doing that decreases the image quality on screen or anything? Or is this the best quality it should be?

Thanks

If the native resolution of the TV is 1920x1080, the output from your PC is set to 1920x1080 and you're using the full screen, then that's just how it should be.

If your TV has a mode called "just scan", or something similar, then use that as it should line everything up perfectly.

I didn't find anything called "Just Scan" anywhere in the settings on my tv.

It's just that some text seems a bit weird... Maybe it's just my imagination.

What's the exact model of the TV?

If it's only HD Ready then the native resolution is likely only 1366x768. It'll accept a 1920x1080 signal but text won't look right as it has to be downscaled by the TV.

If the TV is HD Ready then you probably need to be using 1366x768 resolution.

It is HD ready at 1080p with 1920x1080 resolution.

It's a LOGIK 24" HD ready 1080p Digital LCD TV L24DIGB11

This is the link, and I bought it at currys too

It just seems in games that the colour is slightly off and doesn't really seem HD like my last monitor.

Despite what it says it's full HD as it's 1920x1080.

You can have a play around with the colours etc. in the CCC. My Digital Flat-Panels -> Display Color (Digital Flat-Panel).

As for the text then right click on the desktop, select Personalize, click on Display and then click on Adjust ClearType Text.

If the TV has a VGA connector you could also try using that and see what difference it makes.
