Problem with RTX 2080

Hello,

Just bought a MSI RTX 2080 from overclockers (among other parts) and i've got an issue with it.
The screen is flickering horizontaly on desktop (not happing in games). It only happens on my main screen (4K@60Hz) and only while another screen is plugged in.
If I remove the second screen or reduced the main screen resolution, than the flickering stops.

I've used a displayport cable for the main screen and tryed both displayport/hdmi for the second one. I unfortunatly don't have a 60Hz+ HDMI cable to test out the behavior with it on the main screen.

I found a youtube video of someone having the same symptoms:

Driver version: 417.35
OS: Win 10 Pro 64bits

My GPU temps are 45° idle, max 70° in game.

A temporary fix i found was to set desktop at 2K on main screen. However I can't play borderless as it take the screen current resolution.

I hope you can help me out

Best regards,

What card did you have before and was the same issue evident with it?

Personally I'd be same-day Priming a couple of HDMI 2.0 cables to myself at £4 each to see if that solved it as a next step. Display Port has been a little flaky for me in the past.

If you swap the screens round does the flickering swap to what is now the second screen, or persist on what is now the main screen?

Also what refresh rate, resolution, and bit rate is it set to in the Nvidia control panel?

Driver bug? I kinda feel relieved that the card does not need RMA.
It's very likely an HDMI cable won't solve the issue and now i have to wait (like every other owner I guess) for ****ink NVIDIA to solve problems on their high end products ....

Just to let you know, that screen setup was perfectly working on both my GTX 960 and my laptop (it contain a GTX 1060).
Second screen is a 2K and flickering only happens at 4K, so if i swap the monitors, then flickering appears on what is now the off screen.

Yes, I wouldn't RMA the card. I have a Z35P and a TN Swift. With both panels connected when using certain applications or when Firefox utilisies 3D aceleration the issue is repeatable.
