problem with smartdoctor 8800gts

i have recently upgraded from XP to vista 32....

i have installed the latest drivers and latest version of smartdoctor.... however when i open smartdoctor i get the following message

Can't Open Kernel Mode Driver Service

and the program wont start.... the same thing happens when i try to run ATItool...

could really do with getting these to work.... any suggestions??

From what i recall smartdoctor is some software Asus supply with their cards and motherboards , or am i getting confused ?

If its program i'm thinking of ditch it , it used to be trouble last time i used it a couple of years ago and from what you've said doesn't seem to have improved

Try rivatuner , that seems to be the most recommended at the moment.

not sure if atitool works in vista as it says on the homepage

ATITool will only work on Windows 2000/XP/2003 (64 bit versions are supported)

Its probably the same problem as smartdoctor , it tries to install services which Vista won't allow with its new security
