Problem With SSD

Okay i've been trying to re-align my drive for a while now as running SSD benchmark the results i had for the alignment were (31K - BAD). Anyway i ended up reformatting the drive last night with a starting partition offset of 4K. So i installed Windows 7 on it and ran SSD benchmark and i ended up with a long number for the alignment and OK. The only problem being the speeds were still only around 170 Mb/s. I have the Corsair R60 which should have read speeds of around 250 Mb/s.

Also i turned the computer on today and windows failed to load. So i checked to see which drive it was booting from and the SSD had disappeared! I haven't been inside the case to move anything so it would be impossible for it to become disconnected.

So two questions, How do i re-align my SSD properly to get my read speeds up. And does anyone have an idea where my drive may have disappeared to?
