Occasionally my router drops all wireless connections and although the SSID can be seen, it cannot be connected to as it rejects the password even though it’s right.

Navigating to the router web page reveals the usual log in screen, but this time all in Russian. It rejects the username/password.

I have to physically reset the router (hard reboot) in order for it to then play ball? When it comes back, it operates as normal.

It’s very intermittent, and only happened twice thus far. But I thought it was weird. Googling does not help at all.

Any ideas? Should I get the tin foil and prepare for Ruskie paratroopers in my back garden?

Is your firmware up-to-date? Are all remote management features disabled?

Factory default the router, apply the latest firmware, set it up again.

Yeah the firmware is up to date, also just checked and the remote management features are all disabled.

I'll give factory resetting it a go. On an interesting note, when this does happen only wired LAN connections work.

Most likely wont happen again :)
