It's not a mechanical fault but guessed this would be the best place to ask.

The aux input inside the car is having some problems. Trying to play music from my note 2 and using both an aux cable and a bluetooth adapter there are random moments of really low sound....almost like there is a momentary drop in power to the aux port or something.

It happens at random intervals so I am at a loss as to what could be the cause.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas towards a solution or the cause?

Cheers.

Try a different device first to rule out it being the phone.

I know it sounds stupid, but have you checked you're not getting a text message at the points when it drops in sound?

Thanks for replying.

I've tried with an iPhone and a Nokia windows phone; happens with both of them too.

I thought it could be a signal interference so tried airplane mode, that did nothing.

I'm at a loss other than contacting the dealer... Have the lifetime warranty.

I wasn't so much thinking signal interference, more that the phone reduces music volume when receiving a text sometimes.

If you have the warranty then definitely take it to a dealer, they should be able to put it right for you easily.
